Graham Mitchell's under-18 side put in a much-improved performance during last weekend's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the FA Premier Academy League.
The game could have gone either way until a defensive error gifted the visitors the opening goal of the game just after the hour mark, with Forest grabbing a late second as Town pushed for an equaliser five minutes from time.
Despite the scoreline, Academy Manager Graham Mitchell (pictured above) was pleased with the performance:
"Having struggled for training facilities and having hardly any game time since mid-December, the lads are now getting back into the routine of playing and you could tell that from our improved performance against Forest," 'Mitch' explained.
"The game was very tight and could have gone either way, but to be honest it looked like it was going to finish goalless until a defensive error cost us."
"Getting more game time is vital from now until the end of the season and we are all looking forward to getting back out on the pitch to face Leeds United on Saturday."
