A third goal of the FA Premier Academy League season from midfielder Ryan Watson and a brace from Aiden Chippendale (pictured) steered Graham Mitchell's under-18 side to a 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers at Storthes Hall on Saturday.

It took Town just four minutes to break the deadlock in the game when central midfielder Watson turned home a good cross from the right side from Luke Durham at close range and first-year scholar Chippendale extended the lead with his first goal in the 25th minute when he fired into the bottom corner from twenty yards before scoring his second of the game in the 65th minute, placing a perfect free-kick into top corner of the Bolton goal.

Wanderers netted a consolation goal in the 75th minute, but manager Mitchell told htafc.com that he was delighted with the win and the performance of his side.

"I'm very pleased for the lads - their performance was excellent, particularly in the first-half. We took our foot off the pedal slightly when we went three goals up, but they fully deserved their win."

Mitchell's side are set to face Barnsley today (Tuesday) in their final game of the FA Premier Academy League season at Storthes Hall and Mitchell explained that he will use the game to blood some of the younger players.

"The team for our game against Barnsley could be one of the youngest we have ever fielded. Shane Birtles picked up a knock to his knee during the Bolton game, but he should be fine to feature."
