Gerry Murphy and Graham Mitchell have named tonight's starting eleven for the game at Rochdale's Spotland Stadium in the First Round of the FA Youth Cup.
It looks like Town's youngsters will line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with goalkeeper Damian Eastham protected by a back four of left-back Liam Ridehalgh, centre-backs Dave Pickering and skipper Leigh Franks and right-back Jack Hunt.
Lewis Nightingale, Lewis Collinson and Luke Williams look set to form a central midfield trio behind central striker James Spencer and wide forwards Dave Heagney and Danny Barlow.
One surprise name on the bench is under-18 captain Spencer Harris, who has recovered sufficiently from an ankle ligament problem to be named amongst the substitutes.
