TOWN U-18s 0 SHEFF UTD 0

Posted on: Mon 20 Oct 2008

The Huddersfield Town youth team bounced back from their defeat at Derby with a good performance and a point against their Sheffield United counterparts.

A stalemate was probably a fair reflection of the balance of play at Storthes Hall, with both sides playing good football throughout but chances at a minimum.

Big defender Leigh Franks and striker Jimmy Spencer both planted headers at the Blades' custodian as it looked like the opening goal would turn out to be the winner, but in the end Graham Mitchell and company had to be content with a point.

Unfortunately for the young Terriers, skipper Spencer Harris damaged ankle ligaments and now looks set for a spell on the sidelines and full-back Liam Ridehalgh had to be withdrawn with a foot injury.

Huddersfield Town:

Eastham; Hunt, Ridehalgh (Brook 20), Bower, Franks, Harris (Watson 50), Williams (Chippendale 65), Atkinson, Heagney, Spencer, Durham

Unused Subs: Barlow, Collinson
