Town stars visit local Primary Schools

Town’s First Team players have been out and about in Huddersfield this week delivering tickets for Saturday’s home clash with Reading to local primary school children!

Saturday’s game against the Royals is a dedicated ‘Schools Focus’ match, which offers school children and their families a chance to watch the Terriers at a discounted rate as well as rewarding their school with cashback!

In mid-November Town players Oscar Gobern, Danny Ward, Jonathan Hogg and James Burke visited local schools Shepley, St. Aidan’s in Skelmanthorpe, Dalton and Town’s Success Centre at the John Smith’s Stadium to hand out information about the game to pupils (click HERE for more information).

In total, leaflets were sent out to over 120 schools in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

This week, their colleague Anthony Gerrard was out and about at Kirkheaton to deliver some of the tickets and spend some time with the kids alongside Town’s ‘Football in the Community’ team!

Town’s match against Watford in October was the first Schools Focus Match of the season and raised £1,910 in cashback for local schools.

Last season £7,947 was given back to Schools via the School Focus match cashback initiative with 5,758 children and their families coming along to watch Town.
