Winger joins Ambassador to attend St John’s CE (VC) Infant School

Town winger Adam Hammill joined Club Ambassador Andy Booth last week to visit School Partner St.John’s CE (VC) Infant School in Dewsbury to talk about ‘Champions’

Andy and Adam were the subjects of a question and answer session with the school’s Year 2 pupils in their weekly assembly.

The topic of the assembly was ‘Champions’ and Boothy and Adam spoke about how everyone, irrelevant of their field of work, can be a champion. From Boothy at work, Adam on a football pitch to the pupils at school.

Club Ambassador Andy Booth said:

“It was a real privilege for Adam and I to meet with the young pupils and talk about subjects that didn’t necessarily involve football.

“Visiting schools is a key part of the School Partnership and something that the players really enjoy participating in.”

This isn’t the first time that Town has visited St John’s – last season ‘keeper Alex Smithies took part in an assembly and a Question and Answer session.

Town’s School Partnership is a free scheme for education establishments in West Yorkshire. The scheme currently features 60 schools who are regularly receiving cash back from ticket sales, coaching sessions and player visits.
