Huddersfield Town’s Blue and White Foundation members have voted midfielder Adam Clayton as their Player of the Month for December.
The 24 year-old missed the first match in December because of suspension, but returned as Town lost to Ipswich and Reading before drawing with Brighton.
He played a key role in keeping Brighton out at the Amex and was equally impressive as Town came from behind to draw with Derby. He capped 2013 with the first of Town’s five goals in the victory against Yeovil on December 29.
The former Manchester City midfielder was run close in the voting by Danny Ward, Paul Dixon and Tommy Smith.
BWF member Reece Dinsdale was picked out at random from those that voted for Clayton and he will now get the chance to meet Adam and present him with a bottle of champagne ahead of the Millwall game on 11 January.
Reece will receive a commemorative photograph of the occasion and a meal for two courtesy of the Grange Pub and Restaurant at Grange Moor.
