Town return from Dorset pointless
Town returned home pointless from the mammoth journey to AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, with Calum Woods’ first goal for the Club proving to be nothing more than a consolation.
Alex Smithies made three outstanding saves in the first-half to keep the game goalless, but could do nothing to prevent Lewis Grabban opening the scoring from the penalty spot after Tommy Smith was adjudged to have brought down Marc Pugh.
Woods netted his first goal for the Terriers on his 72nd appearance after playing a smart one-two with Nahki Wells, but Bournemouth sealed all three points through substitute Tokelo Rantie’s smart finish.
