#P4P5 MEETING ON WEDNESDAY

15 April 2014

Details on fundraising challenge to be revealed

With just a week to go until the Pink Link 'Pedal for Pounds 5' fundraising bike ride gets underway, the final meeting for participating cyclists will take place at PPG Canalside on Wednesday evening (16 April).

The official Pedal for Pounds 5 jerseys have been produced and will be handed out to cyclists at this final meeting, which is scheduled to start at 7.30pm.

Thanks to Town partner Orchard Energy, riders will also receive helmet covers in their team's colour!

At this final meeting, essential information regarding the route, the location of feed and water stops for each day and the details of the arrival on match day at the John Smith's Stadium will be provided.

Almost 300 cyclists are schedule to take part – including Chairman Dean Hoyle and Ambassador Andy Booth – in the 250 mile ‘Chapman Trail’ ride from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium to the John Smith’s Stadium.

The ride, which is in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ Campaign, will begin early morning on Wednesday 23 April 2014 with cyclists getting coaches from PPG Canalside down to London. Participants will then set off around midday from the Emirates Stadium, cycling to Cambridge, Leicester and Doncaster over three and a half days in time for the last home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday 26 April 2014.

The Club’s previous four bike rides have contributed over £600,000 to the £980,000 raised for the campaign so far since its inception in 2009.

To donate to the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign please visit www.justgiving.com/keepitupcampaign or text KIUP99 £5 to 70070.

In the last month Club Partners Expect Distribution (click HERE) and The Orchard Group (click HERE) have joined lead sponsors Pink Link (click HERE) in supporting the ride.
