An eighth minute goal from hosts Watford condemned a young Huddersfield Town Under-18 side to just a second defeat in nine on Saturday morning.
The Hornets scored inside eight minutes to lead at the interval, but dropped to 10 men with 20 minutes left after a red card.
Unfortunately, Professional Development Coach Leigh Bromby’s side – which included four Under-16s in the starting line-up – couldn’t find an equaliser.
