Club Ambassador Andy Booth collects the cheque!

Another £1,500 has been donated to the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign by The Monkey Club of Armitage Bridge thanks to its annual ‘Monkeyfest’ event.
This was the fourth successive year that funds generated from the popular two day beer festival, which took place on 11 and 12 July 2015, have been donated to ‘Keep It Up’, which raises funds in equal measure for the Huddersfield Town Academy and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.
This year one of the star guest beers was ‘Cowshed Bitter’ in tribute to the legendary end of Town’s old Leeds Road ground.
Previously, special brews had paid homage to ‘Old Leeds Road’, Town legend Andy Booth with the ‘Booth 150 Legend Bitter’ and the Club’s link with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance with their ‘Keep It Up’ beverage.
Town’s Club Ambassador ‘Boothy’ visited the Monkey Club on Friday to pick up the cheque; he is pictured above with Stephen Hirst and Gareth Shaw.

“Thanks to Stephen, Gareth and everyone else at the Monkey Club for this very generous donation to the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign from the 2015 Monkeyfest.
“The financial support of the Monkey Club over the last four years has been absolutely terrific, with donations from the festivals and a specially arranged Sportsman’s Dinner adding up to well over £5,000.
“The money goes to two great causes, helping the next generation of footballer emerge from our Academy and to keep the two Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters in the skies.”
