Tony Carss’ young team has accumulated 19 points from its opening 13 games of the PDL2 season, whilst weekend opposition Sheffield Wednesday sits second in the division with 25 points from 14 fixtures. The Owls are led by former defender Steve Haslam; a one-time trialist at Huddersfield Town.

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions; North and South. Teams play each team in their own division twice and the other division once. The top two teams from each region meet then meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall PDL2 champion.
