10 October 2015
- HTAFC U18s lose at Sheffield United
- Jack Boyle sent off in defeat
- Cedwyn Scott scores Town's goal
Town’s Under-18 side rallied from two goals down with 10 men at Sheffield United on Saturday morning, but couldn’t do enough to reverse a two goal deficit.
The hosts led at the interval through an own goal before Jordan Hallam scored a direct free kick in the 53rd minute to double the advantage.
Things went from bad to worse for Tony Carss’ side when top scorer Jack Boyle was sent off due to a second yellow card in the 66th minute, but that decision seemed to galvanise the away team and substitute Cedwyn Scott (pictured) scored his third of the season just seven minutes later made things interesting.
Town hit the post through a deflected cross soon after, but couldn’t net again to get back on level terms.
Highlights from the game will appear on HTTV on Monday.
Town’s team (4-4-2 diamond):
Tadhg Ryan; Harry Clibbens, Dylan Cogill, Jordan Williams (Callum Elliott), Adam Porritt; Regan Booty (Lewis O’Brien), Jamie Spencer (c), Sam Warde, Jack Boyle; Rekeil Pyke (Cedwyn Scott), Akeel Francis
