SCANNELL WINS BWF PLAYER OF THE YEAR

23 April 2015

Winger scoops BWF accolade

Huddersfield Town winger Sean Scannell has been voted by Blue and White Foundation members as their Player of the Year for the 2014/15 season.

Over 350 Blue & White Foundation members registered their vote for the accolade, which saw Sean narrowly beat central midfielder Jacob Butterfield to the honour.

2014/15 has been a landmark year for 'Scanz', who has flourished under the management of Chris Powell. On top of four goals, he has also contributed six assists to the team and his tireless, driving efforts down the right flank have made him a consistent outlet for his team.

Catherine Sill from Meltham was the lucky person to be drawn out of all the entrants and has been invited to the Blackburn Rovers game along with three guests of her choice. Catherine will receive a signed shirt, VIP treatment and get to meet Sean to present him with his bottle of champagne.

Thanks to all the members who voted for their Player of the Season!

Benefits of joining the Blue and White Foundation include entry into the weekly 'On the Move' lottery - which sees one lucky fan scoop the £1,000 jackpot every seven days - as well as the bumper end of year Blue and White jackpot. Members can also register their children and grandchildren into the Foundation free of charge. Also, BWF members receive free membership to PPG Canalside.
