JARVIS: PLENTY TO ENJOY THIS SUMMER!

12 May 2015

Commercial Director previews a busy few months at Town

It might be over 12 weeks until Huddersfield Town’s First Team is back in competitive action, but there’s plenty to look forward to over the summer months!

The Club has a raft of events and dates to look forward to, as Commercial Director Sean Jarvis explained to htafc.com today.

Over the next three months, the Club will launch three new shirts for the 2015/16 season; will hold a reunion dinner for the 1995 promotion-winning team and supporters; will hold an open day for local businesses; will launch a new ‘t-shirt club’ initiative in its retail outlets and much, much more!

Sean explained:

“Our planning for the 2015/16 campaign began months ago, with new shirt designs being signed off with our kit supplier Puma in March. These are now in production and I know our Retail Department has worked hard to make sure that this will be one of the best sets of kits that we have ever produced. Along with this comes all the promotional planning to ensure that the shirt launches are publicised, which our Club Partners the Huddersfield Examiner and Pulse1 will help us with.

“On top of this, our retail team has several other exciting new initiatives in the pipeline such as the soon to be launched t-shirt club (click HERE for more information).

“The closed season is one of the busiest times for our Partnerships team as we sign up the Club’s commercial partners ahead of the 2015/16 campaign. We are targeting the magic number of 100 partners, after which we will close the door and make this the ‘Huddersfield 100’. If your business is interested in a partnership with our Club, please get in touch with me on sean.jarvis@htafc.com.

“If you’d like to see what benefits there are in getting your business involved with Huddersfield Town, we’re welcoming new businesses to the Club on Friday 10 July when our commercial team is putting together an event not to be missed. Not going could mean not growing! Contact business@htafc.com to find out more.

“Our events continue throughout the summer including a Golf Day, a visit to the Races on 31 July and not forgetting the 20 Year Reunion of Neil Warnock’s promotion-winning team on Friday 5 June at the John Smith’s Stadium (click HERE for details).

“We are also welcoming NBA Basketball sensation John Amaechi to PPG Canalside on 21 May – another night not to be missed (click HERE for info).

“Our Advertising Department is hard at work selling advertisements for our fixture posters, fixture cards and our match day programme, as well as advertising boards at PPG Canalside and the John Smith’s Stadium for the new season. If you want to learn more, please email luke.kelly@htafc.com

“The Town Foundation continues to go from strength to strength and the Three Peaks Challenge in June will raise a large amount for a great cause (click HERE to find out more). We also have the pleasure this closed season of taking up to 300 children to the seaside, many for the first time ever.

“Of course, a key date for the calendar is Wednesday 17 June when our fixtures are released. Once these are announced, our planning takes another step forward. It tells us when our big local derbies will be and when our games against ex-Premier League opposition are. This naturally brings with it a lot of excitement from our fans, as we internally begin to piece together what themes and activities we will create around the fixtures, as well as plan our logistical requirements for travel, ticketing, accommodation, stewarding, and policing. It also gives real focus to our Corporate Hospitality, and take up on this is proving really popular already, with a high retention rate of Boxes and White Rose Club and Partners Suite places. Visit www.htafccommercial.com for full information.

“The Promotions Department is promoting our ‘On The Move’ Summer Draw, with a £3,000 giveaway in June (tickets available now – click HERE).

“The key focus over the summer is our Season Card campaign, which this year encourages our fans to #SignForTown. This will continue until the new season begins and I would encourage all of our fans to back the Club by purchasing yours – they really are the best way to watch Town in Sky Bet Championship action next season. The opening of the South Stand to home fans will add another dimension to a number of our home matches, so we look forward to helping the North Stand Loyal in promoting this area to fans.

“The perception might be that the summer is a quiet time for a football club, but as you can see it’s far from it!”
