TOWN’S TEAM vs PRESTON

6 February 2016

Wagner makes four changes to starting XI

- David Wagner makes four changes
- Philip Billing makes first start under Wagner
- New boy Elvis Manu among the subs

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner has made four changes to his starting XI for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Preston North End; 3pm kick-off at Deepdale.

19 year-old Danish midfielder Philip Billing makes his first start of Wagner’s tenure in central midfield – and just the third of his career – in the injury absence of Emyr Huws (ankle).

Loanee James Husband makes the 100th appearance of his career at left back this afternoon, with Australian international Jason Davidson making way.

Town fans will be pleased to see that Joe Lolley has recovered from the illness that ruled him out against Cardiff City last weekend; the exciting attacker replaces Algerian Karim Matmour in the starting line-up.

The final change comes at right back, where Tommy Smith returns from suspension to replace Kyle Dempsey.

Joel Lynch captains the side again today due to Mark Hudson’s suspension; it is the big defender’s 300th appearance in domestic competition this afternoon.

Deadline day signing Elvis Manu is among the substitutes for the Terriers in Lancashire.
