7 May 2016

Come down and celebrate the KIU ride

- P4P7 lap of honour at noon today
- 180 cyclists celebrating the ride's completion
- Come down and cheer on your fellow fans!

Town fans are encouraged to get to the John Smith’s Stadium earlier than usual for today's Sky Bet Championship game against Brentford to welcome home their fellow supporters that completed the Pedal for Pounds 7 Shankly Tour!

An amazing 180 people, including Academy Manager Mark Lillis and Commercial Director Sean Jarvis, have taken part in the 216 mile bike ride, which set off from Carlisle United on Wednesday morning and visited Lancaster, Deepdale home of Preston North End and Anfield Liverpool finishing at PPG Canalside on Friday.

The lap of honour will start at the John Smith's Stadium at approximately 12.10pm.

The event, which is sponsored by club partner Orchard Energy, raises funds that will go towards maintaining the YAA’s two lifesaving helicopters as well as assisting the HTAFC Academy.

This was the Club’s seventh Pedal for Pounds event in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, with the previous six events raising an amazing £1 million for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and HTAFC Academy.

If you’d like to donate towards the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, you can text KIUP99 £5 (or any other amount) to 70070.
