P4P6 SHIRTS REVEALED!

21 April 2015

Tops sponsored by Orchard Energy

Shirts for the Pedal for Pounds 6 bike ride as sponsored by Orchard Energy have today been revealed!

For the first time since Pedal for Pounds began, the shirts are cycling standard jerseys with a zip to the front and three pockets on the back for storing energy bars, water bottles and other items during the ride.

The shirts will be worn by all cyclists during the two-day, 140 mile sponsored bike ride from Huddersfield to Blackpool and back on Friday 1 May and Saturday 2 May 2015. The volunteer support team will also wear personalised blue and white t-shirts and red hoodies featuring the Orchard Energy logo.

Gareth Henderson, Managing Director of club partner Orchard Energy based in Elland, and veteran P4P cyclist joined HTAFC Supporter Partnership Manager Robyn Deegan for the photo.

He commented:

"Although we've been taking part in Pedal for Pounds for the last few years, this is the first time Orchard Energy has been the main sponsor. We are really proud to be taking part again, as it's a cause that as an organisation we hold very close to our hearts.

“The shirts look fantastic and both myself and my colleague Neil Ewing are looking forward to wearing them when we embark on the epic bike ride in May.”

Andy Booth is pictured showing off the front and back of the shirts which are adorned with various company logos, with each one having made a donation to the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign.

Huddersfield Town’s Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan added:

“On behalf of Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, I would like to thank Orchard Energy and all the sponsors of the bike ride for their valued contribution to the charity and the Academy.

“I look forward to seeing the 270 P4P6 cyclists proudly displaying these logos on the shirts, as well as the logos of all the companies who have donated various items to help make the bike ride a reality.”
