HALF TERM EVENT A GREAT SUCCESS

30 October 2015

500 fans descend upon the John Smith's Stadium

- HTAFC opens its doors to 500 fans
- Supporters get to watch a First Team training session
- Autographs and pictures with the players in the afternoon

Huddersfield Town supporters got an exclusive insight into a First Team training session yesterday when the Club opened its doors to 500 fans at its half term Open Day event, supported by Pulse1.

The free event, which was supported by Pulse1, began with supporters seeing first-hand how the players travel to games on the Eavesway Team Coach.

Next followed the training session in which the First Team players were put through their paces by Manager Chris Powell, Assistant Manager Alex Dyer and First Team Coach Steve Eyre.

The ever-popular Terry the Terrier posed for #htafcsnaps with the Club’s young supporters and even signed a few autographs of his own!

After training ended, fans were able to take a look inside the Boardroom where the Club’s trophy cabinet is kept, before entering the Revell Ward Suite.

Event supporters Pulse1 kept the crowds entertained with their ‘What’s in the Box?’ game and young fans also enjoyed free Jelly Squeeze drinks kindly provided by Fruitypot.

Finally, HTAFC Manager Chris Powell and the full squad took part in a signing session, greeting each supporter, posing for photos and signing autographs.

Huddersfield Town’s Club Ambassador Andy Booth commented:

“It was great to see so many smiling, happy youngsters at the John Smith’s Stadium yesterday at the Club’s Open Day.

“The Club is always very grateful of the support it gets from the local community and this was a great way to give something back.

“Thanks to everyone who was involved in making the day such a success, from the staff behind the scenes at the Club to the players and, of course, the fans who made the effort to come down!”
