TOWN’S TEAM vs BORO

28 November 2015

Wagner makes four changes to his side

- David Wagner makes four changes for home debut
- Chilwell, Paterson, Lolley & Steer in
- Jason Davidson returns to the bench

David Wagner has made four changes to the starting XI for his first home game as Head Coach of Huddersfield Town against Middlesbrough; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The first change comes in goal where, as expected, the injured Joe Murphy (ankle) is replaced by the returning Jed Steer; he’s starting his 11th Town game today.

The second alteration comes at left back, where 18 year-old Ben Chilwell makes his professional league debut following his loan move from Leicester City. This means Kyle Dempsey, who played there last weekend, drops to the bench.

With Mustapha Carayol ineligible to play against his parent club, Joe Lolley makes just his sixth start for the Club.

Wagner’s final change sees the suspended Harry Bunn replaced by fit-again Jamie Paterson (pictured above), who has recovered from the injury he sustained in the draw at Reading to make his fourth Town start.

Dean Whitehead starts in midfield for the Terriers today, so he comes up against his former employees for the first time; Dean made 63 appearances for Boro over the last two seasons.

Defender Tommy Smith is making his first home start in almost three months today; his last came in the defeat to QPR on 29 August.

Australian international left back Jason Davidson is also among the substitutes this afternoon, as is Middlesbrough-born Jonathan Hogg; he spent time in the Boro Academy before moving to Aston Villa.
