REMEMBRANCE PLANS AT LEEDS GAME
2 November 2015
- Remembrance Day plans for Saturday's game
- Club to pay its respects to the Armed Forces
- Shirts to be auctioned after the match
Huddersfield Town will use Saturday's Sky Bet Championship game at home to Leeds United to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The Club will pay its respects to the Armed Forces and the fantastic work they do to serve and protect our country.
A minute’s silence will be held before the game to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Members of the Royal British Legion will be in attendance around the ground selling poppies, and will also take part in a pre-match salute with their standards at pitch side.
Huddersfield Town's players will also sport poppies on their walkout jackets as they enter the field of play.
Shirts worn by Town’s players will be printed with poppy logos following the game and auctioned in aid of the RBL via League sponsors Sky Bet’s centralised auction.
The Club will utilise its permitted opportunity to promote a charity on its shirts as per Football League regulations for the limited edition Town Foundation shirt in April 2016. As a result, the poppies cannot be printed on shirts prior to Saturday’s game.
More details on Sky Bet’s auction will be publicised on htafc.com in due course.
