Huddersfield Town currently has five players out on loan at other clubs in England and Scotland; here’s an update on how they are faring.

Jordy Hiwula

The former Manchester City youngster has been in and out of Wigan’s side this season, but has an impressive goals to games ration since joining the Latics in August.

Hiwula has made seven starts and three substitute appearances for his loan club, scoring a total of five times. Earlier this month he notched an impressive brace to send Gary Caldwell’s men through to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Northern area semi-final.

Caldwell was full of praise for the attacker in October after a fine performance, in which he also notched another couple of goals.

He said: “I thought he was superb - his movement, when he's like that, makes him hard to mark. He arrives in the box at the right time, and he took his goals well.”

He will be hoping to face Southend United on Saturday 28 November in their next fixture.

Joe Wright

The defender has been part of the in-form Accrington Stanley squad that sits in the Play-Off places in Sky Bet League 2.

Wright has made nine starts and one substitute appearance in all competitions for the Lancashire outfit and has contributed to one of the best defensive records in the division.

Internationally, his performances ensured he was called into Wales Under-21s squad for their latest European Championship qualifiers.

The 20 year-old will be one to watch in the Emirates FA Cup second round as John Coleman’s team come up against Portsmouth, with the prize of a prestigious third round draw in their sights.

Until then, Accrington continues its league campaign and Wright will be in contention to take on York City this Saturday 28 November, where he could face Town Development Squad teammate William Boyle.

William Boyle

The young centre back joined York City last week and started for the Minstermen just three days later in a 3-2 defeat at Leyton Orient.

He is on loan at City until 3 January 2016 and will hope to help York push away from the relegation zone.

The captain of Town’s U21 side could face fellow Development Squad member, Joe Wright, this weekend when York takes on Accrington Stanley.

Liam Coogans

The Academy striker has made three substitute appearances for Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship, one of which came in front of 44,000 people at Rangers’ Ibrox Stadium in a 2-1 defeat.

Coogans will be aiming to make an impression at The Doonhamers before his loan runs out on 4 January 2016.

The youngster will be travelling to St Mirren for the next league encounter on 5 December with the ambition of getting his first goal for the club.

Ed Wilczynski

The young goalkeeper has started five games for Hyde United on his loan spell since joining in late October.

Gary Lowe’s side has struggled since Ed’s arrival, with one defeat and four draws in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

The final game of Ed’s current loan spell takes place on Saturday, when the Tigers host Frickley Athletic.
