QUARTET OF LOANEES RETURN

5 January 2015

Stead, Paterson, Carroll & Crooks back at HTAFC

Four Town players have returned to the Club following the expiration of their respective loan deals this weekend.

Striker Jonathan Stead (pictured above) has returned from League 1 side Bradford City, having scored four goals in 13 starts and one further substitute appearance. The last of those came in the Third Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, when he played 89 minutes of the Bantams’ 3-3 draw at Millwall.

Fellow forward Martin Paterson’s loan at League 1 Fleetwood Town also officially ended this weekend, although the Northern Ireland international has been back at PPG Canalside since early December after picking up a hamstring injury in his third appearance for the Cod Army against Swindon Town.

Left back Jake Carroll’s loan spell at Scottish Premiership outfit Partick Thistle also ended this weekend. The Irishman made a total of 10 starts and three substitute appearances for his loan club, but has been out since early December with a knee problem.

Town’s final loanee, Matt Crooks, is also back at the Club after a total of six starts and two substitute appearances for League 2 Accrington Stanley.
