Goalkeeper moves to Play-Off semi-finalists
Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Joe Murphy has today joined League 1 Play-Off semi-finalists Chesterfield on an Emergency Loan deal for one week.
Although the loan window is closed, clubs are still allowed to bring in goalkeepers in exceptional circumstances.
As a result, the 33 year-old Irishman joins the Spireites due to an injury to their first-choice goalkeeper Tommy Lee.
Joe will be available for Chesterfield’s Play-Off Final second leg at Preston North End on Sunday; 12.15pm kick-off at Deepdale. Preston currently lead 1-0 on aggregate thanks to a goal from former Town loanee Jermaine Beckford.
