LOAN: JED STEER AT HTAFC FOR THE SEASON

2 January 2016

Standard Loan until 31 May 2016

- Jed Steer returns to Huddersfield Town
- Aston Villa goalkeeper at HTAFC until 31 May 2016
- Steer in starting line-up at Bolton today

Huddersfield Town has today brought Jed Steer back to the Club on a Standard Loan until 31 May 2016 inclusive.

The Club has received clearance to play the 23 year-old Aston Villa goalkeeper and he goes straight back into the starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game at Bolton Wanderers.

Steer has already spent 93 days as a Terrier this season through a three month Emergency Loan spell. He’s 16 starts – which includes all of Town’s six league wins to date – and has kept four clean sheets.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:

“Now the winter window is open, we decided that we wanted another senior goalkeeper with Joe Murphy being the only one in our squad.

“When we decided to react, Jed was the first goalkeeper I had in my head. He did very well when he was here, he knows everybody and the style we like to play.

“I’m very happy we have completed the deal so quickly and that he can play for us at Bolton today.”
