JAMIE PATERSON JOINS ON LOAN

1 September 2015

Attacking Midfielder arrives on Loan

- Jamie Paterson joins from Nottingham Forest
- Season-Long loan until the end of the 2015/16 campaign
- Comment from Chris Powell

Huddersfield Town has today completed the signing of Jamie Paterson from Nottingham Forest on a Standard Loan with the option to buy.

The loan is scheduled to run until 31 May 2015 with no call back available, as part of the deal Huddersfield Town have an option to buy the attacking midfielder.

The Coventry-born 23 year-old came through the ranks at Walsall making a total of 102 appearances scoring 16 goals along the way. He then moved onto Nottingham Forest in July 2013 under Billy Davies making 54 appearances scoring 9 goals; including a 15 minute hat-trick as Nottingham Forest knocked West Ham out of the FA Cup in January 2014.

He was a target for Huddersfield Town before his move to Forest for a reported £400,000.

Paterson is a good technical player who operates as a number 10 or attacking midfield player. He likes to run at defenders, link up play and also poses a real goal threat. He can operate centrally or from out wide.

Paterson will wear the number 8 shirt and will be available for selection the next game as Huddersfield Town travel over the Welsh border to face Cardiff City on the 12th September at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Chris Powell said:

"Jamie is a very different to what we have in our group. He has a goal threat and comes here with lots to prove. He also gives us options and hopefully he can produce for us what he has shown he is capable of in patches at Nottingham Forest. It is a great opportunity for him and that works for all of us."
