James Husband has returned to his parent club Middlesbrough at the conclusion of his Emergency Loan spell at Huddersfield Town.

The 22 year-old left back initially joined the Terriers on Emergency Loan on 8 January 2016 and the Club subsequently extended his stay for the maximum 93 days, which ended after Saturday’s draw against Hull City.

In total, the defender made 10 starts and two substitute appearances for David Wagner’s side, picking up an assist on his final appearance for Jamie Paterson’s opener against the Tigers.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:

“James performed well for us during his four months at the Club; he has really helped us at a time when we needed a second specialist left back in our group. His attributes fitted our style and identity on the pitch.

“He now has to go back to Middlesbrough as we cannot keep him for any longer and I’d like to wish him the best of luck.

“I must also say thank you to Aitor Karanka and Middlesbrough for allowing James to come and play for us.”

David continued:

“Jason Davidson will get the opportunity to play in our final games. He has also helped us in games during the last five months and now he can show how he can help us perform and get results.

“We have signed a second left back in Chris Löwe for next season and everyone knows I want competition with two players in every position, so this is a good time for Jason to show his talent.”
