Harry Clibbens nets brace in win

- Second successive win for Tony Carss' team
- Harry Clibbens & Sam Warde net first goals of the season
- Highlights on HTTV on Monday!

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side recorded a second successive Professional Development League 2 win on Saturday morning, with left back Harry Clibbens grabbing the headlines against Ipswich Town.

Tony Carss’ side beat the visitors from Suffolk 4-1 at PPG Canalside, with first year scholar Clibbens’ brace his first goals at Under-18 level for the Club.

Clibbens (pictured above) opened the scoring after 29 minutes with a good finish, only for the away side to level just five minutes later.

The score was level at the interval, but another Town player soon scored his first of the season to put the young Terriers back ahead; Irish midfielder Sam Warde.

Attacking midfielder Jack Boyle scored his sixth goal in just eight Under-18 starts in the 67th minute to extend the lead before Clibbens netted his second of the game a few minutes afterwards.

Striker Rekeil Pyke has a similarly impressive scoring record to Boyle so far this term, but he had an 82nd minute penalty saved by the visiting goalkeeper after substitute Lewis O’Brien was fouled in the box.

Highlights of the game will appear on HTTV on Monday!

Town’s team (4-4-2 diamond):
Tadhg Ryan; Harry Clibbens, Dylan Cogill, Jacob Hanson, Jordan Williams; Jamie Spencer (c), Sam Warde, Adam Porritt (Lewis O’Brien, 66), Jack Boyle (Luca Colville, 76); Rekeil Pyke, Cedwyn Scott (Akeel Francis, 66)
