TOWN SENDS BEST WISHES TO HOLT

31 December 2014

Club saddened by injury

Huddersfield Town is saddened that Grant Holt is set for a spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

In a three month loan spell at Huddersfield Town that ended on 28 December, the 33 year-old scored two goals in 15 appearances. The final of those appearances came at Rotherham United on Boxing Day, when he was substituted early in the second-half with a problem.

Subsequently, upon his return to parent club Wigan Athletic, Grant’s injury has been diagnosed as a serious injury to his right knee.

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell commented:

“We’re all extremely sad to hear of the extent of Grant’s injury. He did a fantastic job for us on loan and it is a very sad way for that otherwise positive spell to end.

“Everyone at the Club wishes Grant a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him back on the football pitch as soon as possible.”
