Huws aiming to go out on a high against Brentford

Midfielder Emyr Huws wants to put things right against Brentford this weekend as Town looks to bounce back from last Saturday’s defeat at Bristol City.

The Terriers were below par in the 4-0 defeat to Bristol City at Ashton Gate, but the Wales international believes the players can learn from the experience.

“It was not the performance we needed really, but we’ll learn from it and put things right. I think we’ve done okay in general this season, but last Saturday we just weren’t at it and we couldn’t really get in the game.

“We’ve looked at the video clips, learned from it and moved forward. That goal in the first half wasn’t an ideal time to concede but second half wasn’t good enough.

“We didn't reach our expectations at all or the standards we’ve set over the past couple of months, which we need to put right this weekend.”

Emyr explained that the experience of the likes of Captain Mark Hudson, who recently signed a new three year contact at the Club that will see him eventually transition into coaching, can be vital after a defeat.

He concluded: “I’ve been very impressed on the pitch and off the pitch (with Mark Hudson). He’s a leader, he gets us all together and he’s a player that you need.”
