EDGAR HELPS CANADA WIN AGAIN

Town loanee plays in victory over Puerto Rico

Huddersfield Town loanee David Edgar earned another cap as the Canadian Men’s National Team recorded a 3-0 international friendly victory in Puerto Rico in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The versatile Birmingham City loanee started the game for Canada and played a big role in the opening goal in the 42nd minute, sliding a nice pass to Maxim Tissot on the left before his cross was turned home by Tosaint Ricketts.

David was then withdrawn at half-time in what has been a successful international break for him, with this victory following on from a 1-0 home victory over Guatemala (click HERE for a review).

Edgar will now return to West Yorkshire and is expected to be available for Town’s Sky Bet Championship game at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Under-21 defender Joe Wright is the only Town player still on international duty; he could make his Wales U21 debut in Tuesday night’s game against Bulgaria at the Cardiff City Stadium. Unfortunately his Town teammate Jake Charles, who was also called up, has had to withdraw from the Wales squad with a hip flexor issue.

The deadline to get 10 month interest-free payment on 2015/16 Season Cards is 8 April – click HERE for info
