Loanee helps nation beat Guatemala

Town loanee David Edgar played the full 90 minutes as Canada defeated Guatemala by a single goal in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, late on Friday evening.

Edgar was booked in the 47th minute of the international friendly, which was settled by a single goal from Crewe Alexandra striker Marcus Haber in very windy conditions.

After the match, David - on loan to Town from Birmingham City – had this to say to the Canada Soccer website:

This win was Canada’s first win of 2015. The full match can be watched HERE

Edgar and Canada play another international friendly on Monday in Puerto Rico, but striker Nahki Wells is the next Town player in international action when Bermuda hosts Bahamas in a World Cup qualifying second leg on Sunday.
