CREWE 2 TOWN U18s 4

29 November 2014

Boyle & Booty net braces

Professional Development Coach Tony Carss’ Under-18 side came from behind to record a thumping PDL2 North win at Crewe Alexandra on Saturday morning.

This win extended the team’s current run to six wins and two draws from the last eight fixtures.

Crewe opened the scoring late into the first-half, but Town hit back almost immediately through in-form first year scholar Jack Boyle, meaning the scores were level at the interval.

Midfielder Boyle then netted his third goal in the last two games to give Tony Carss’ side an early second-half lead before handing over the mantle to fellow scholar Regan Booty; his two goals in the space of a minute extending Town’s lead to an unassailable position.

Crewe scored their second goal of the game with just over 10 minutes of the second-half remaining.

Highlights from the game will be available on the Club’s YouTube channel – www.youtube.com/officialhtafc - on Monday.

Town’s team (4-4-2 diamond):
Tadhg Ryan; Nathaniel Pells, Fraser Horsfall, Jacob Hanson, Brad Carroll (c) (Adam Porritt, 68); Regan Booty, Jack Boyle, Jamie Spencer, Ronan Coughlan (Sam Warde, 68); Liam Coogans, Rekeil Pyke

Unused Substitutes:
