11.30am kick-off at PPG Canalside

- HTAFC U18s at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning
- Crewe Alexandra visits in an 11.30am KO

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side is in action at home to Crewe Alexandra in the Professional Development League 2 North on Saturday morning.

The young Terriers go into Saturday’s game looking to extend a good run of form, with Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss’ side unbeaten in the league since 10 October 2015.

Town currently sits fifth in the PDL2 North with 29 points from 17 games; five points behind second placed Sheffield United, but with two games in hand.

Visitors Crewe Alexandra – led by the Club’s former midfielder Kenny Lunt - sits third in the league, also five points ahead of Town having played a game more. The Railwaymen have won three and lost three of their last six games.

The two sides were unable to be separated earlier on in the season, sharing the spoils in an eight goal thriller in Crewe on 31 October. Highlights of that game are below via HTTV!

The game will be played at PPG Canalside, with kick-off at 11.30am. The game is free to watch for any Town fans that want a double dose of football before David Wagner’s side hosts Cardiff City at the John Smith’s Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship!

If you are unable to get down and see the young Terriers in action, you can keep up-to-date with the score-line via Town’s Twitter account, @htafcdotcom

The Professional Development League 2 is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, before the top two teams from each league meet in the Play-Offs to determine the overall champions.

The venue is ideal for fans, with ample parking (£4 per car for non-members) and food and refreshments available from noon.

Food available includes meat and potato pie (£4.95), hot beef sandwiches (£3.50) and Chili Nachos (£4.25). There are also a variety of Real Ales on offer which includes Theakston’s Lightfoot and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord.

Special offers on four pint pitchers of John Smith Smooth (£8.50), Fosters (£9.50), Heineken (£10.50) and Rekorderlig (£11.50) are another excuse to make the short journey to see Town in action.

The bar will remain open after the First Team match, with tea and coffee available for people who are driving and you can catch up with the other results from around the country by watching Sky Sports News.
