Powell hands Joe Wilkinson senior debut

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell has handed Academy graduate Joe Wilkinson his professional debut in today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Blackburn Rovers; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The 19 year-old defender, born in Dewsbury, comes in for Manchester United loanee Reece James, who has tweaked his groin.

The Terriers’ starting XI is otherwise unchanged from last weekend’s 4-4 draw at home to Derby County, although James Vaughan returns from injury to sit on the bench at the expense of youngster Philip Billing.
