Alex wins February accolade
Goalkeeper Alex Smithies has been voted as Town’s February Player of the Month by Blue and White Foundation members!
The custodian, who recently signed a contract extension at the Club (click HERE), beat on-loan England Under-21 left back Jack Robinson into second place to take his first monthly accolade of the season.
Alex has been in great form recently, earning praise from Manager Chris Powell and Town fans in recent games.
Blue & White Foundation member Peter Swallow from Honley was drawn at random to meet Alex before Saturday’s game at Rotherham and present him with his champagne.
Peter has also won a meal for two courtesy of the Grange Restaurant.
All the money generated from the £2 a week that Blue & White Foundation members pay goes straight to the Huddersfield Town Academy, so it’s fitting that Academy graduate Alex has won this month’s award!
