HAMMILL LOANED TO ROTHERHAM

9 January 2015

Winger joins South Yorkshire club

Huddersfield Town’s Adam Hammill has today joined fellow Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham United on a Standard Loan until the end of the 2014/15 season.

The 26 year-old will not be able to play against the Terriers during his stay in Rotherham.

Following a loan spell at Town during the first half of the 2012/13 season, Adam joined the Club permanently on a three year contract from Wolves in the summer of 2013. To date he has made 54 starts and 19 substitute appearances for the Terriers, scoring seven goals.

However, he’s made just one start and one substitute appearance during Chris Powell’s tenure as Manager.

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell commented:

“It’s been a long road back from a number of niggly injuries for Adam.

“He’s expressed a preference for playing on the right-hand side and that’s an area Sean Scannell has done well in, so I couldn’t guarantee him regular football here.

“He is experienced at Championship level and it isn’t a surprise that there has been interest in him, so this move for Adam is good for everyone concerned.”
