DUO JOIN TOWN’S U18 GROUP

14 January 2016

Players available for Saturday’s U18 game in PDL2 North game

- Duo join Huddersfield Town's Under-18 group
- Australian striker Adam Edgar gets international clearance
- London-born centre back Rarmani Edmonds-Green also arrives

Two players have joined Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 group after successful trial periods at the Club.

Striker Adam Edgar and defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green have both been signed by the Terriers and are available for selection by Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss for Saturday’s U18 Professional Development League 2 North game at home to Sheffield United.

Adam (pictured above), who turns 18 years old in exactly a week, stands at nearly 6’ 2” tall and has signed a contract to stay at the Club until the end of the 2015/16 season, with Town having an option on a further season.

Although he was born in Liverpool, Adam is a native of Queensland, Australia and played in his home country for Newcastle Jets, Sunshine Coast Fire, Brisbane City, Moreton Bay United and Albany Creek Excelsior.

He was picked out by former Portsmouth and Australian international striker John Aloisi to join the Nike Academy in England and subsequently arrived on trial with the Terriers in March 2015, when he impressed.

Adam has trained with the Under-18 group under Professional Development Coaches Tony Carss and Leigh Bromby all season whilst the Club awaited international clearance from FIFA to sign him, which has now been received.

Rarmani is celebrating his 17th birthday today and has signed a contract that will keep him at the Club until the summer of 2017, with Town having an option on a further season.

A centre back who can also be deployed in a holding midfield role, Rarmani hails from Peckham in London and, like Adam, came to Town’s attention during his time with the Nike Academy.

The Terriers took Rarmani on trial in October 2015 and he played in the Under-18’s 4-4 Professional Development League 2 draw at Crewe Alexandra on 31 October.
