Huddersfield Town U21s came away with three points on the road at Crystal Palace.

The Huddersfield Town U21s travelled to London to play Crystal Palace at Tooting and Mitcham’s KNK Stadium, looking to bounce back after two defeats against Nottingham Forest and Hull City.

The game didn't have the best of starts with the home team taking an early lead with only 5 minutes gone through Jake Gray.

Town pegged them back immediately as recently capped Wales U21 International, Jake Charles broke free down the left wing putting a cross in for Flo Bojaj to head home the equaliser with 16 minutes on the clock.

Jake Charles was again involved in the next goal as he prodded the ball home following a scramble from a corner to give Town the advantage with only 21 minutes of the game gone.

Town then gave away a penalty as Joe Wilkinson fouled the Crystal Palace number 9, Keshi Anderson. The penalty was saved by Ed Wilczyski diving to his left in the Town goal to keep the score at 2-1.

There was then a penalty at the other end as Jake Charles was brought down inside the box in the 42nd minute with Duane Holmes slotting the ball home from the spot to send Town into the break with a 3-1 lead.

Crystal Palace then pulled a goal back through Connor Dymond in the 77th minute but it was only a consolation as Town took home the three points with a 3-2 win.
