CROOKS UNDERGOES ANKLE SURGERY

8 October 2013

Midfielder expected to be out for two months

Huddersfield Town’s Development Squad Captain Matt Crooks is set to be out of action until close to the New Year after undergoing ankle surgery.

The midfielder suffered significant ankle ligament damage during Town’s Development behind closed doors game against Bury last month; he has since undergone surgery in London.

Crooks netted three times in pre-season and has been instrumental from midfield during Town’s impressive start to the U21 Professional Development League 2 North.

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins wished Crooks a quick recovery:

“I am disappointed that Matt will be out of action for the next couple of months because he has done well for the U21s this season and has stepped up to the plate as captain.

“It is important that he takes the necessary time to recover fully before returning to action; we look forward to welcoming him back when he is fit.”
