Huddersfield Town

The 21 year-old attacker has made a significant impact at First Team level for the Terriers already this season and that continued against the Lions on Saturday, when he setup the first for Nahki Wells before winning the penalty for Town’s winner. 

That helped the team secure its first three point haul at home for seven months – a milestone that the players were well aware of, according to Harry:

“There was a mixture of happiness and relief after the game. We’ve been waiting a long time to get a home win and now we’ve finally got one, so hopefully we can carry that over to the next game,” he admitted.

Harry was particularly pleased to help his new Manager Chris Powell get his first win in charge:

“All the lads were happy with the win, but it’s particularly good for the Manager to get his first win at home. 

“He’s given me a lot of confidence since he came to the Club; I think that’s the same for all the lads to be fair. Anyone who has seen us train can see how hard he has got us working, but he’s also filled us with confidence.”

Powell deployed Bunn in a more central striking role opposed to the left-sided role he has starred in for the team; something that doesn’t faze the former Manchester City man.

Harry laughed: “As long as I’m in the team, I’m happy! I’ve spoken with the Manager and he’ll use me on the left side or down the middle, so wherever he does put me I can hopefully do a job.”

As a teenager, Bunn’s progression was halted by a serious knee injury sustained during a loan spell at Crewe and only now, having made 11 appearances for the Terriers, does he feel like he’s back to his best.

“It took a big effort to get back playing after the injury I had, but now I feel like I’m finding my feet again. Hopefully that can carry on.

“The exciting thing for me is that I think I have a lot more to come. Hopefully this is only the start for me and I can push on a lot this season. “

The next opponent in Harry’s crosshairs is Wolves on Wednesday evening, when Harry is hoping to capitalise on the momentum of the weekend win.

“In the Championship the games come thick and fast and you can move up the table quite rapidly if you win a few on the bounce.  Everyone in this League knows that it only takes a couple of good or bad results to significantly change things. 

“We’ve got two away games coming up, but they are all tough games in the League and there is no reason why we can’t get good results at Wolves and Blackburn this week. 

“With the win at the weekend we are full of confidence and we’re looking to go to Wolves on Wednesday night and get three points. We look at every game as a winnable game for us. 

“Wolves came up last year, but it is a big club and it’s no surprise they’ve started well. It should be a good game.”
