CHARITY SIGNING DAY ON THURSDAY
10 December 2012
Huddersfield Town will hold its second ever charity signing day at Canalside Sports Complex on Thursday.
Following on from the success of the first signing day back in October (click HERE for a review), the Club is inviting charities to come down to the training ground and get merchandise signed by the players – but you MUST book your place, for free, in advance!
Town is giving local registered charities the opportunity to have items signed by the first team players; the signed merchandise can then be used in fundraising auctions and raffles.
At the inaugural charity signing day, representatives from the following charities attended: Leonard Cheshire Disability, Shabang Slaithwaite, Yorkshire Kidney Research Fund, Prince’s Trust.
Huddersfield Town Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan commented: “Huddersfield Town is committed to helping local charities where possible, so we are happy to welcome the charities and their supporters to Canalside on Thursday afternoon for the second ever charity signing event. We hope they raise a lot of funds from the merchandise.
To register your interest please email rachel.taylor@htafc.com or write to: Rachel Taylor, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Stadium Way, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX. Please clearly state your name, position, the name of the charity and its registered charity number.
If you are an individual fundraising on behalf of a charity who would like to attend the signing day, we will require a reference or sanction letter/email from your chosen charity to accompany your letter.
As for the past three years Town’s main charity partnership is with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the joint venture ‘Keep it Up’ campaign. The Club will also be holding a dedicated game for Yorkshire Cancer Research, Hollybank and the Forget Me Not Trust.
