FURTHER WORK WITH FORGET ME NOT

28 August 2013

Charity partner signs up for 2013/14

Huddersfield Town is pleased to announce that it will continue to work closely with the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice during the 2013/14 season.

The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life limiting conditions and their families; they currently support over 50 families in who live in our local community. The charity needs £2.5 million each year to continue the support and care services that it provides.

They recently had their brand new purpose-built children’s hospice located in Huddersfield opened by HRH Princess Beatrice of York.

Alongside this state of the art facility that provides respite care in a stimulating environment, the children’s hospice provide care and support for children along with their siblings and families through their hospice at home service.

Through the charity partnership, Huddersfield Town will support Forget Me Not’s events, promote the good work they do and offer support and assistance in fundraising throughout the season.

Club Ambassador Andy Booth and Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan visited Forget Me Not’s Corporate Partnership Manager Jason Costello at the hospice on Fell Greave Road in Huddersfield to extend the partnership.

Jason commented:

“I’m so pleased that Huddersfield Town have continued to support Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as one of their official charity partners. Just like the hospice they are very proud to be a part of their local community, the values of Town fit perfectly with our own so it’s a great partnership. I’m really looking forward to developing our relationship during the year ahead and if it’s anything like last season we are all in for some unforgettable moments.”

Huddersfield Town’s Robyn Deegan added:

“Huddersfield Town is committed to doing the right thing by its local community and places high importance on charity work.

“We are still fully committed to working with other our selected Charity Partners during the season and given how successful our first season of partnership was with the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, it was an obvious choice to continue.

“As Jason has commented, their ethos and values match our own and we’re looking forward to further developing our already excellent relationship throughout the season.”
