SHEFF WED 1 TOWN U18s 2
1 November 2014
Two goals in the final moments of the game Town grab a dramatic win in this morning’s Under-18 Professional Development League 2 game at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls took the lead in the first-half, but a second goal in as many weeks from midfielder Regan Booty - a superb free-kick - looked to have grabbed Town a point in the final minute of the game.
However, things got even better for Tony Carss’ side when substitute midfielder Sam Warde (pictured) netted a deflected shot in the last few seconds!
Coming into the game, Sheffield Wednesday hadn't conceded a goal since 30 August after a run of six successive clean sheets.
That result means Town have won four and drawn one in their last five games.
Town’s team (4-2-3-1):
Tadhg Ryan; Brad Carroll, Jacob Hanson, Fraser Horsfall, Nathaniel Pells; Jamie Spencer (Dylan Cogill, 80), Regan Booty; Ronan Coughlan, Liam Coogans (Sam Warde, 52), Jack Boyle; Rekeil Pyke (Adam Porritt, 63)
Unused Substitute:
Sam Guthrie
