LEEDS UTD 4 TOWN UNDER-18s 0

6 October 2012

Town’s youth team defeated

Town actually started the game fairly well and hit the crossbar through a William Boyle header inside 15 minutes, but once Leeds took the lead on 18 minutes it was one-way traffic – with the hosts three goals to the good inside half an hour.

The game eventually finished 4-0 and Professional Development Coach Frankie Bunn told htafc.com:

“We’re disappointed with both the result and the performance.

“Teams are starting to do their homework on us and it’s up to our lads to figure out a way around that obstacle. In much the same manner we looked at Leeds’ strengths and weaknesses before the game, but they applied what they had learned better on the day.

“We didn’t get on the ball and pass it as we like to, but we will bounce back – just as we did when we lost our first game of the season at Sheffield Wednesday, beating Coventry City at home the following week.”

Town’s team (4-3-3):
Ed Wilczynski; Michael Starkey, William Boyle, Joe Wilkinson, Tom Briggs; Ben Holmes (Fraser Horsfall 75), Duane Holmes, Kedesh Goddard; George Conway, Paul Mullin, Jake Charles
