Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s side were beaten 3-1 by Millwall at PPG Canalside in the U18 Professional Development League.

The young Terriers got off to a good start against the southern Under-18 Professional Development League side and took the lead through defender Callum Elliott.

Dominic Tear’s corner was cleared but straight back to him, the winger crossed the ball back into the box and it was met by second year scholar Elliott who rose highest to head beyond the Millwall goalkeeper.

Just after the half hour mark the away side equalised. A long ball was played over the top and finished by the Millwall striker.

The away side took the lead just seven minutes later in the 38th minute. A ball was played through the Town defence before the Millwall striker coolly placed past Schofield.

Town looked for an equaliser late on but were caught on the break by the away side who scored their third goal of the day with just minutes remaining.

Highlights of the game will appear on HTTV in the week.
