A late goal from Dom Tear earned Huddersfield Town’s Under-18s a 3-2 win over Leeds United in the U18 Professional Development League at Thorp Arch.

After a close opening 20 minutes the home side took the lead, when a corner was head past Ryan Schofield.

The goal was the only thing that separating the two sides at half-time in a fairly even opening 45 minutes.

However, Leigh Bromby’s youngsters started the second half brightly and equalised in the 52nd minute when Dom Tear scoring his first of the afternoon after a good ball from Luca Colville.

Town continued pushing for a winner and they thought they had it in the 82nd minute when substitute Matty Daly scored after a good pass this time from Denilson Carvalho. However, in the 88th minute Leeds was level after coolly slotting home from the penalty spot.

With just seconds left, Dom Tear restored the youngsters’ lead. The ball fell to him from a corner and he placed an effort past the ‘keeper into the back of the net to give the Terriers all three points at Thorp Arch.
