After an excellent start to the game, the youngsters went ahead after 17 minutes; Captain Rarmani Edmonds-Green scored the opener on his 18th birthday after he placed the ball into the back of the net, following in from Olly Dyson’s shot which rattled the post.

Just seven minutes later the youngsters doubled their lead. This time Dominic Tear did well to follow in and tapped in the rebound after the Hull City ‘keeper parried Cedwyn Scott’s shot.

In the 32nd minute young ‘keeper Ryan Schofield did well to keep Town’s two goal cushion, as he made an excellent save one on one after a Tigers striker ran through on goal.

Town continued to create chances and scored two goals in two minutes following the 37th minute. Winger Matty Daly scored them both turning in a cross come shot from Scott before tapping the ball into the net from Tear’s ball into the area.

Just before half-time, the home side reduced the deficit. Cameron Taylor brought down a Hull City player in the box and they scored from the penalty spot to make it 4-1.

Leigh Bromby’s side continued the second half with the same intensity they had in the first. Isaac Marriott struck the post early on after an excellent counter attack.

Shortly after the Tigers was down to 10 men, Olly Dyson was brought down by their right back as he ran through on goal.

Town made its extra man count and in the 73rd minute they made it 5-1. Substitute Ben Jackson cut inside after driving towards goal, before placing the ball past the ‘keeper from the edge of the area.
