Two players have today signed scholarships with the Huddersfield Town Academy and will join Lead Professional Development Coach Tony Carss’ Under-18 group.

Attacking midfielder Denilson Carvalho (pictured above) and central defender Cameron Taylor have both joined the Club permanently after spending time on trial during the summer.

Denilson, 17 years old, joins the Club as a second year scholar, with the Club having the option on extending his contract into the 2017/18 season.

Born in Hackney, East London to Portuguese parents, he is a left-footed attacking midfielder who plays in the ‘number 10’ slot. He played for Arsenal up to Under-15 level before spending the previous two seasons at Watford.

Cameron, 16, is a left sided centre back and joins the Club as a first year scholar, pending international clearance.

Hailing from Lanark in Scotland, his previous club was Falkirk but he spent most of his playing career as a junior at Livingston. His two year scholarship at Town will run until 30 June 2018.
