Town's U23s will progress to the next round of the Premier League Cup if Liverpool FC beat West Brom

- Huddersfield Town U23s drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town
- Town has a chance to progress to the next round of the Premier League Cup
- Highlights available on HTTV next week

Huddersfield Town Under-23s drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town at PPG Canalside in the Premier League Cup.

Frankie Bunn’s youngsters went into the match knowing a win would send them through to the next round of the competition.

The game was moved from Curzon Ashton’s Tameside Stadium to Huddersfield Town’s PPG Canalside after the pitch at Curzon’s ground failed a pitch inspection yesterday.

After an evenly matched first half Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s side went behind in the 68th minute of the game.

In the dying minute of the match, attacking midfielder Jack Boyle equalised for Frankie Bunn’s side meaning the youngsters have a possibility of progressing into the next round.

The point leaves Huddersfield Town’s Under-23s in second place in Group G with seven points from six games.

Bunn’s side is currently two points ahead of third placed West Brom, who face Liverpool FC in the final game of the group on Tuesday 28 March, 7pm kick-off. If West Brom don’t beat league leaders Liverpool FC then Frankie Bunn’s side will be in the draw for the next round of the Premier League Cup.

Highlights of the game will follow on HTTV this week.
